High Noon — review

Grid, bets and volatility

High Noon is a 5-reel wild west themed slot with a paygrid featuring card and character symbols (gunslinger, masked bandit, card suits, revolver, hat, bull skull).

Volatility was shown on the loading screen as 4/5 chilies (fairly high volatility). Minimum bet is 0.2 and maximum bet 200. In the test screen the bet was 0.6, balance 2000 (demo currency).

The spin ends immediately when the maximum multiplier is reached and all wins are paid. The maximum cashout is capped at 2 000 000 and the maximum multiplier is 10 000x the bet. The maximum multiplier is guaranteed to be hit within 100 000 000 spins (RTP percentage was not shown in the info panel).

Symbols and paytable (with bet 0.6)

WILD: 5 same = 4.5.

Gunslinger symbol (red background): 5x=4.5, 4x=2.4, 3x=0.6.

Scarf-masked man (blue background): 5x=4.5, 4x=2.4, 3x=0.6.

Also the game has lower-value symbols - a silver revolver, cowboy hat and bull skull - whose exact payouts we didn't note during the spin, but they pay less than the character symbols.

Silver and Gold Revolver symbols (Wild mechanic)

Revolver symbols (silver and gold) can appear on any reel. When a revolver appears, it randomly loads with 1–6 bullets and fires at random positions on the grid.

If a hit strikes a symbol, it is shot and becomes a Wild symbol. If the same position is hit multiple times, it may randomly receive an extra multiplier and become a Multiplier Wild.

When both the silver and gold revolvers are on the grid at the same time, the silver revolver triggers first and then the gold revolver. Possible multipliers: x2, x3, x4, x5, x6, x7, x8, x9, x10, x15, x20, x25, x50, x100 and x200 (maximum x200). If multiple Multiplier Wilds land on the same payline, the multipliers are added together.

When the revolver's bullets run out and the Reload! event doesn't trigger, the revolver symbol converts directly into a Wild symbol.

Reload! feature: when all revolver bullets have been fired, there is a chance to trigger a Reload! event where all revolvers on the grid are reloaded randomly with 1–6 bullets and fire again immediately.

Wild, FS-scatter and Free Game feature

Wild symbols substitute for all symbols except the FS symbol. The Multiplier Wild is shown as the letter 'X' and a number (e.g. x2, x5, x10). 5 Wild symbols on the same payline pays the highest possible win.

The FS symbol can appear on any reel. 3 or more FS symbols trigger the Free Game feature, which begins with 10 free spins.

During Free Spins every Wild symbol with a multiplier of x2 or higher locks in place and remains on the grid until the end of the Free Game feature.

Extra spins: 2 FS symbols during free spins gives +2 free spins, 3 or more FS symbols gives +4 free spins.
