Gameplay and paytable

Book of Claws: Lock&Choose is a 5x3 grid game with 10 fixed paylines paying left to right from reel 1; only the highest win per line is paid. The game's official return to player (RTP) is 95 %. The maximum possible win is 5000× the stake; if that cap is reached, the round ends and remaining features stop.

Payouts are read from the paytable at a stake of 1,00. The highest symbol (the adventurer) pays 2 symbols 1x, 3 symbols 2x, 4 symbols 5x and 5 symbols 10x bet. Second high symbol (pharaoh) 0,5x/1,5x/3,5x/7x. Third (hawk god) 0,5x/1x/2,5x/5x. Fourth (ankh) 0,5x/1x/2x/4x. Low card symbols (A, K, Q and two others) pay 0,5x for three, 1–1,5x for four and 2–3x for five depending on the symbol. The book symbol acts as both Scatter and Wild and pays on its own: three 1x, four 2,5x and five 5x bet.

Claw Lock Feature

The Claw Lock feature triggers randomly in the base game and is active on every spin in Bonus Game mode (not random during the bonus). Two claws drop and each independently attempts to grab a single symbol from the reel pool; each claw succeeds or fails separately. If both claws grab the same symbol, the expansion happens twice and pays twice separately.

The Wild/Scatter symbol can be captured by a claw, but it does not expand or land on the reel — it only affects the Scatter count, which can trigger a Scatter Pay or Bonus Game. After regular symbols pay, the captured symbol expands to cover the entire reel and pays according to its paytable on all reels, including non-adjacent positions, as long as a sufficient number of symbols are present to form a win.

Choose & Expand Feature and free spins

The Choose & Expand feature triggers when 3 or more Wild/Scatter symbols land anywhere on the grid in the base game, or by buying the bonus (Bonus Buy). Before the round starts the player selects one symbol to be a special expanding symbol for the bonus game (Wild/Scatter cannot be chosen).

The bonus game starts with 10 free spins. 3 or more Scatters landing during the bonus awards +10 extra spins (unlimited retriggers); the chosen symbol remains the same for the whole bonus and is not reselected.

Bonus game payout order: a) line win (Wild/Scatter acts as Wild), b) expansion and payout of the chosen special symbol, c) expansion and payout of the first claw symbol, d) expansion and payout of the second claw symbol, e) Scatter Pay and re-trigger check. All stages pay separately and are summed into the total win; the triggering round's base game win is added to the total win when the bonus ends.

The game has two extra-bet options (Sidebet): Sidebet 1 gives a doubled chance to trigger the bonus on the next spin; Sidebet 2 guarantees a 100% Claw Spin on one active claw, while the other claw has a chance to unlock. The Bonus Game (10 starting spins) can also be bought directly (Buy Bonus) with a 100% trigger chance.
